Washington County Fair

Washington County Fair is the largest fair in Rhode Island <9781439634417>. It is held annually in August in Richmond, Rhode Island. The fair began in 1967 on the grounds of the Perryville Grange in Wakefield, Rhode Island. <thewesterlysun> The fair is now organized by the Washington County Pomona Grange, a grange including all of the granges in Washington County (also known as South County). Activities at the fair include rides and local food stands, 4-H and Future Farmers of America shows and exhibitions, competitive eating contests, and a royal court. The fair also features musicians.
