Jamestown Art Center is a non-profit arts organization with a gallery, artist's studios, education facilities, and event space located at 18 Valley Street in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
The Center is operated by a Board of Directors, Executive Director, and a staff of administrators, educators and volunteers. History
The arts center was founded by a group of Rhode Island artists in 2007.<ref>{{Cite news|url=https://www.jamestownpress.com/articles/no-title-164/|title=[No title]|last=Krider|first=Karen|date=February 8, 2007|work=Jamestown Press|access-date=August 5, 2019}}</ref> In December 2009, the Jamestown Arts Center purchased a building at 18-24 Valley Street the new space opened on April 1, 2011.<ref>{{Cite news|url=https://www.jamestownpress.com/articles/art-centers-collaboration-11-show-welcomes-huge-turnout/|title=Art center’s Collaboration ’11 show welcomes huge turnout|last=Riel|first=Tim|date=April 7, 2011|work=Portsmouth Press|access-date=August 5, 2019}}</ref> In 2018, the Center was awarded Best Art Gallery in Newport County by Rhode Island Monthly|Rhode Island Monthly Magazine's Best of Rhode Island. Events
